Seminole includes a variety of utility packages for dealing with web standards: Base-64 encoding, MD5 message authentication, and form parameter parsing. Seminole even supports the multipart MIME transfer encoding. This transfer encoding allows files, such as new firmware, to be uploaded from a browser to the embedded system.

Lots of embedded webservers do little more than serve web pages. However, that isn't very useful. Nobody uses their DVR or home gateway for serving up web pages. The idea is to provide a consistent, easy to use, and robust interface. Seminole is unique in this reguard. A compact engine, called the Application Framework, takes all the drudge work out of building a web application. Built around simple, discrete concepts the Application Framework can build a complex interface from a simple "specification file."

You can view a simple demo of the application framework. That interface was built up with a few basic blocks in a small specification file.

Contact us for details on how Seminole can power the interface for your embedded system or application!
